Education & Outreach
The Education & Outreach Team uses creative means to educate Floyd County citizens about the issues. In 2011, the Rome TEA Party is planning our first Constitution Day Fair for September 17th, through which we plan to educate Floyd County citizens about the U.S. Constitution via renowned speakers, skits, amendment booths, games, prizes, handouts and more. We invite you to lend your creative thought processes to us to make this event the first and best of its kind. We also have plans to do mass distribution of fliers on various ‘issues’.
Elections & Candidates
This Operating Team interfaces with elected officials and candidates for office, plans forums, invites speakers to Rome TEA Party events, and creates and maintains with all of these individuals.
Events
The Events Operating Team manages the details of Rome TEA Party local events, such as securing venues, food, set-up, clean-up, equipment, etc. This team will also be responsible for voter registration opportunities.
Membership & Fund Raising
This Operating Team recruits new members, maintains lines of communication with our members, and raises operating funds for the Rome TEA Party. They also maintain our social networking sites.
Public Relations & Media
The Public Relations & Media Team manages our weekly radio broadcast, TEA Party Talk, our weekly column in the Coosa Valley News, and also advertises the Rome TEA Party events in the local media and around town.
